Montana Group is a specialist food and events management business, operating several brands in the upper North Island with a range of food, service, and event operations. With 10 brands and more than 30 kitchens across two cities, the Group is now recognised as the largest, privately-owned caterer in New Zealand. Jointly owned by Directors Dallas Fisher and Troy Reid, the Group is considered industry-leading experts with over 20 years of experience.

Montana Group is a dynamic business that is constantly growing and evolving.
MG now employs close to 1,000 people across Tamaki Makaurau and Waikato regions with a breadth of backgrounds, knowledge, and expertise.
The Group’s breadth of experience across a range of event and service styles includes:
Large-scale school lunches production – cooking, packing, and delivering 25,000 lunch packs per day, across Auckland and Waikato
Daily education all-day dining for more than 4,000 students. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, morning/afternoon tea, snacks and packaged takeaway/late meals
Multi-day conferences with gala dinners for 100 to 1000+ guests
Large public events with a mix of retail food and beverage and corporate hospitality dining
Outcatering (off-site) events with temporary kitchen/finishing facilities and greenfield builds
Specific bespoke events - chefs tables, tastings, FAMILs, picnics, BBQs, Hangi, pasifika, live-action cooking and degustation menus
Plated private dinners, VIP events, awards ceremonies, fundraising events.

Today Montana Group ranges across Hamilton and Auckland, with a diverse client and brand base. Major contracts have propelled the company to its national leadership position. These include the Universities of Auckland and Waikato, exclusive venue-based contracts with Hamilton City Council’s H3 Group sites (FMG Stadium Waikato, Claudelands Events Centre, Seddon Park and The Grandstand), Karaka, an Education Division managing St Peter’s Cambridge and Auckland Grammar, and partnerships with national and international events, such as Auckland City Limits, Rhythm & Vines, and the HSBC NZ Sevens Tournament.
We are proud to have achieved a GOLD level of certification in our latest Qualmark assessment, across both our Auckland and Waikato trading divisions, demonstrating our commitment to protecting our natural environment, and enhancing connections with our local communities while delivering a quality, safe experience for all guests.
